Johnny Depp as 'King Louis XV" in next film

Johnny Depp leaves courtroom drama and onto filming his role as King Louis XV in upcoming French movie "Jeanne Du Barry"

This is the first movie the actor will be working on since his defamation trial against ex-wife, Amber Heard. 

According to Deadline, the shoot started back in July 26, which is roughly a month after the conclusion of his defamation trial.  The story will revolve around Jeanne Du Barry who is known to be the last mistress of King Louis XV, which Johnny Depp will be playing. 

The film is directed by French Filmmaker, Maïwenn and is set to be in theaters on 2023.
