A Temporary Addiction & Fangirling

James Reid and Nadine Lustre did something in the industry that made people go crazy about them. You see fans from the youngest to the eldest all over the world rave about them. Why? Because people can see how their chemistry works so well to the point that some fans want them to end up together. 

So how did this addiction and fangirling started in the first place?

I was never really vocal about whoever I want to support. I've been supporting James since Pinoy Big Brother days. I stalked in social media sites but I was never vocal about it.

Been following him since We Are Whatever album probably back in July 2011 to his Reid Alert album in 2015 and waiting for his upcoming album. 

There was also Twit Music then where he and Bret Jackson had their original songs recorded and uploaded there. My computer crashed and couldn't recover their songs I downloaded from Twit Music. 💔

In 2013, his self-titled album came out and single's (Alam Niya Ba) music video followed. In 2014, I learned about his movie Diary ng Panget from my daughter and nieces. Watched it the first time and his leading lady caught my attention because of her charm. She played it well, I must say. And there born another Nadine Lustre fan.

Stalked her on social media sites just how I did with James and so on. After a few months Talk Back and You're Dead was all over the Internet.

I had to research on Alessana Marie's story from Wattpad after reading from there, I wouldn't stop researching knowing I'd find the book 2 (Never Talk Back to a Gangster) somewhere. How lucky I am to have found the PDF files of both of her stories after googling and checking out all related links and what not. I read them both and as a visual reader I would really picture James and Nadine being Top and Samantha.

After Talk Back and You're Dead I was still quietly stalking them until an On the Road with JaDine opportunity and a Cadbury event came.

Bought tickets for the October 17, 2015 On the Road with JaDine in Pampanga for me and my daughter and boy I cannot contain my excitement. Couldn't wait any longer so I stalked again and found an October 4, 2015 Cadbury event where in he was one of the Ambassadors in Eastwood, Libis. All set, we (me and the kids) went there 9 in the morning for an 8pm event because I was told it's first come first served, yes 11 hours of waiting (of course the kids had to be somewhere while I'm in line).

In that 11 hours of waiting of course you get to meet new people, the same people who are supporting James Reid as well. And there I met co-fans who eventually became my friends outside "James Reid" circle. There I met the people who manages James and Nadine's official fan sites to keep fans like me up to date.

After the Cadbury event with James, there's an October 10, 2015 Nadine Lustre Fan Meet in Metrowalk, Ortigas. Another first time for me and my daughter to attend that kind of event. Waiting game is still on as Nadine has a shoot before the Fan Meet. Different guest artists came out to perform and then Metro Hall exploded with happiness when Nadine arrived. Finally we got to see her in person. She performed and had chit-chat with her fans. As finale, CD signing happened, greeted her Happy Birthday and handed over our gift.

A couple more days and I'd be able to see them together, On The Road with Jadine in Pampanga. We've been planning for this since I bought the tickets but days before the event my daughter got sick and had to sell our tickets and just wait for the next opportunity to see them. 

Few days after the On The Road with Jadine, I still couldn't help but continue to stalk social media sites to know where they are, what's the current happenings and all that. Had to message a few friends who can get us to the set of On The Wings of Love. Thanks to my newly found friend who brought us there and finally got the chance to meet Nadine and James. We didn't get to chit-chat with them but that very moment was just extra special. It was indeed a treasured moment.

I have always been a silent fan but JaDine became an exemption.
